Tom Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 I've just received the following email and thought I'd pass it on to everybody Stage Management Association Training -Risk Assessment for Stage Managers - Additional Date Now Available There is one course due to take place on Friday 4th June at the theatre in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama which still has 2 places available, but we are now also running an additional course for ITC in their brand-new training room on Wednesday 23rd June which still has 4 places available. The course is run by Geoffrey Joyce who has 30 years experience in theatre as well as excellent credentials as a Health & Safety expert and trainer. The practical part of the course at Guildhall will involve risk assessing the set on stage that day; the practical part of the course at ITC will involve risk assessing open-air sites around the London Assembly which will be used for performances during ITC's summer event. This course will therefore be of interest to anybody involved in site-specific work and live performance in non-theatre buildings and open-air. To reserve a place or get more information on either course (fees: £105, £70 SMA members), please contact the SMA office. As the office is moving, we are closed Thursday 27th and Friday 28th May and will re-open on Tuesday 1st June at the new premises. You can contact us by email (though you won't hear from us till Tues 1st) or telephone 020-7403 6655 today only and 020-7242 9250 from Tues 1st.
