MarkPAman
Why would you want to? Do you may have a good reason, or do you just enjoy changing plugs?

pritch
Well, what are you doing with them? Using them yourself? If so, stick with what's convenient, unless there's a particularly compelling reason to change. If you're hiring them out, then the answer is maybe; it really depends on what your customers are looking for.

niclights
16A are more durable especially as they don't have pins exposed that can be bent. Something to consider?
Tort
Personally I'd check that they are fused (especially after the advice I received on another topic on hear). The units I have are only fused on the outputs to the LED's and not the control gear. If the lanterns are always kept in an accessible possible, the additional fuse protection is always worthwhile. JimWebber
To be honest, I loathe 16A plugs with a vengeance! They are the work of the Devil! (Along with that shrink wrap stuff they put on CDs...) They are difficult enough to unplug in ideal conditions, let alone groping around at the top of a ladder sorry MEWP.... PhilB
All my LED Par cans are on 13amp plugs and I have made up 13amp (female) to 16amp (male) jumpers. The majority of the time when they go out on dry hire I find the customer wants 13amp plugs for convenienve ie. being able to plug 4 into a 'gang' etc... Then I have the option to jump them to 16amp if that is what a venue requires! Phil
c0astman
For want it's worth, I have 16amp T connectors on mine. Most of my cabling has 16A connectors beacuse they were cheaper than 15A. I'm happy that they won't get crosswired in a dimmer so I'm confortable with that, but I would agree with the other posters, if you don't have to, don't change it..... It's an un-neccessary expense
pete LD
All mine have 16A on, but this is because all my kit has, all my cables, soca fan outs, dimmers, lanterns etc all on 16A. What other kit do you have? and what plugs does it have on? Is silly to change to something else because "other compinies have".Pete
Jamtastic3
I think if you're a rental company then putting LED pars on 16A would be the usual procedure. If however, it's for a nightclub installation then I'd put them on IEC's to be more visually discreet. Having LED pars on 13A is handy though as you can have times of effeciancy where all you want to do is plug them into a 4-way/6-way gang.
