HilcrRWise
I am after a 3m wide fastfold type projection screen and have had similar quotes for two different models, the Da-Lite standard Fastfold and the Sapphire Rapidfold. Is there any known differences between the two, would I be better going for one over the other?
MrBoomal
Don't know if it's any use, but all my fastfold screens are made by Harkness. always thought they were competitively priced.
David Lee
Never heard of the Sapphire Rapidfold but Da-light and Harkness are very common in the industry. That must be a clue as to which to choose :D http://www.avstumpfl.com/ are also getting a good reputation.
slim_mcslim
Projection screens are very expensive at the moment, they have gone up 25% in the last couple of months due to falling sterling price. If you could find ones manufactured within the UK you might get a better deal. I would recommend, Draper, Stumpfl, Harkness, DaLite, Screen Works they are all pretty much of a muchness, as standard the Stumpfl screens have a thicker aluminium profile frame than the others. I have been offered the Sapphire ones recently, they are a new "entry level" option but fundementally they are all similar, however it would be prudent to check whether the screen surface comes as one piece of cloth or has a seam across it, as we have some annoying stumpfl ones with a line across them.
