Vince
I've got a number of Phonic Max range amps, in particular the Max2500, and they work fine for me. I make it a point never to drive amps to the ragged edge, and used this way the Phonic sound good to me, particularly for the money. I've got 10 Phonic amps driving FOH and monitors at an install, and never had a failure (touch wood) yet. Cheers, Vince AudioHead amps are also very cheap and reliable little Amps too... Someone told me Audiohead , Cmark & Thomann Amps were the same beast ,, Is this true ?I must admit they do look cosmetically similar. Matt
Rob_Beech
I know the c mark and thomann ones are, so I'm sure there will be others rebadging the amps.
KevinE
The OEM you need is Shenzhen Bao Ye Heng Industrial Development Company.
ChazHS
Has the OP even responded to our replies? As I said, I think the best budget amps are the Crown XLS series. Either that or the QSC GX series.
johndenim
didn't think SN ratio was a problem for DJs - usually too much signal ;) joking aside though, maybe a second hand amp might be a good idea - like a QSC RMX or Crest CA-something. A concurrent post has been automatically merged from this point on. Does anyone have any idea what the Studiospares Trojan series are underneath?http://www.qsl.net/k0lr/ZL1BPU%20Exciter/bb-board.jpg :D wow, not a pcb in sight!! drsound
Has the OP even responded to our replies? The poor sod's probably crying in a corner having asked a relatively simple question that inadvertantly managed to spur a debate about the macroeconomics of far eastern manufacturing and trends in discrete analogue power electronics. Perhaps a wise man is the one who knows when not to impart his knowledge ;)
ChazHS
He probably is, anyway; Crown and QSC = Good... Behringer, Carlsbro etc = Bad....
subsOn
how about a post that answers the OP's question The OP asked if anyone had had any major issues with Thomann T-Amp TA series amps. I was trying to answer his question without being libellous! and I was referring to my inability to post replies relevant to the original post, not anyone else's. Swizzuk
I'd have to put my vote in for the Samsons. Got 2 of the SX series. The 1200 and the 120a. Both excellent when you look at bang for buck.
