pattonaudio
Guys looking for you help (ain't everyone ** laughs out loud **) A mate has given me a behringer europower ep2500 power amp to look at and possibly repair. When its powered up with no signal Channel B is fine and has no problems but the clip light comes on channel A straight away. when a signal is fed to both channels B works fine and out comes out of the speaker fine, Channel A however the clip light goes out and nothing comes out of the speaker. so I opened it up and noticed a few resistors had blown and a few scorch marks on the heatsink. all resistors have been replaced but still no joy. am looking now to help locating a complete Channel A module. So any one know of anywhere I can order one either in UK or Ireland? and an estimated price would be nice cause he might be better off buying a new amp the ep2500 are only £250 new anyway. Cheers Richard

Trunker
I had a Behringer amp go like this, lucky that one of my mates is a damn good electronic engineer (designs LED lighting for the new Airbus planes) and repaired this amp free of charge. :)
KevinE
I really doubt it would be worth it, given how much a complete amp is new. Blown SMT resistors are simply a symptom of greater damage probably in the output section. Most amp repairs are done to component level in the trade, we dont often need to (or want to) go sticking new boards in there willy-nilly...its the best way to make no money! As well as Proline you can try EMS in Southend, they are Behringer agents as well. If the prices they quote to supply spares seem steep...it's not them, believe me, it's that behringer spares are expensive! http://www.electronicmusicservices.co.uk/
