matthewbutt
Hi All, I have been given some HMI 1200W/GS lamps and I was just wondering if these would be ok to use in my Mac 2000's? I have scoured the internet, and the only infomation I have found are the three which martin recommend. Any help would be gratefully received!Kind regards, Matthew
Tomo
I have scoured the internet, and the only infomation I have found are the three which martin recommend.Martin recommend a short list of discharge lamps that are good to use in this fixture.Other lamps are unlikely to work well, and may cause damage to the fixture. However, you could call Martin and ask if they have an updated list of recommended lamps from what it says in your manual. Discharge lamps are not all the same, even at the same wattage and base. The Gaffa
I discovered that about discharge lamps last night. Was asked to replace a 250W double ended HMI in a "shop type" fitting, thought that I'd fitted it correctly only to be called back 5 mins later as the bulb had fried.Discovered that I'd fitted it the wrong way round, after the packaging had been found. Luckily the bulb hadan't got to temp or it could have exploded.
gareth
If it turns out that you don't need the HMI1200w/GS lamps, they're new and boxed, and you want to sell them, let me know - I might be interested! ;)
