Colin
Hello, Been using a seaward PAT tester at work for a while but constantly annoyed by various features of it. Wondering if anyone had ever come across a computer based PAT tester. Ideally what I have in mind is a box which links via USB to a computer, the box having no "intellegence" just runs the test it is told to by the computer and returns the result, then perferably a bit of open source software that I could edit to meet my needs. Any thoughts? Thanks Colin
landy
Have a look at Savant by Outboard ( sorry can't think how to link). It is not cheep, but is what you are talking about, you will need alot of kit to find it cost effective.
drsound
I have come across a Megger one that did all manner of really interesting things including managing your PAT database and whatnot. Seriously pricey kit though.
Fender Bender
I agree with landyThe Savant system is ideal. It is a whole warehouse solution, It will operate either standalone or intergrated with hire software, so that you can download job/ tour lists , prep/pat test your kit to a job/tour produce a test cetificate ( no more kit covered in old green stckers) then asset track that equipment. http://www.outboard.co.uk/
