Blaize110
Hi, I want to buy some cheap and cheerful scanners and was looking at the Skytec 151.295 LED DMX scanner. However I cannot find any information about whether it is possible to link them together in a master/slave configuration. Does anyone have any experience of these and know if this is possible? Sound In Gloucestershire
ive yet to find a cheap DJ DMX effect that doesnt work off master/slave, they wouldnt sell any otherwise!! you could always try going to your local shop to have a look at one instead of buying from the fleabay
Chris Beesley
Just had a quick peek on http://www.skytronic.co.uk but it doesnt state master slave - after checking the manufacturers/importers website your next best option is Contact Skytronics Tech Dept :)
ChazHS
I am ashamed to say that the company I work for has two of these in the shop to sell to poor un-suspecting customers, I'll have a look and see if they do master-slave. I will say that when I saw them (boy oh boy did I make a fuss about it) the light output was VERY dim and the DMX mode (if you wanna call it that) just controlled how fast the mirror spun round and round in circles. There is no pan/tilt DMX control. I've found the best use for them is as spare mirrors for certain fixtures which cost more to buy mirrors for than that whole unit costs. Blaize110
Ok. Thanks. Since posting I have decided against buying them and am going to get something with more DMX control. They were going to be a quick fix for a little kiddies disco but thats all sorted now. Rory
