You will struggle, most orthotics / prosthetics are made to measure and when they fit they are usually kept until they fall apart or the patient dies.

You could try your nearest disablement services center (DSC) details should be on your local PCT website.

I've just checked and the ones closest to you are Roehampton and Stanmore.

Another avenue would be to contact your local fracture clinic - make an appointment, or go in person before/after clinic (lunchtime) and offer free tickets to staff (say 4 or 6) and guarantee to return the stuff afterwards.

If contacting a rehabilitation centre with inpatients, offer to do them a 'reduced' show, or even a different show - many such places have problems filling their evening programme, and a fairly simple 30-40 minute show could really make the patent's day, as well as potentially building some bridges.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi there,

If it's not too late, I may be able to get hold of one of these as my dad wears one (don't worry - you won't be depriving him! He said he may have a spare, although - upsettingly - he said he got rid of a couple recently)

PM me if any good.

Jemma
