Avolites Visualiser...

Patch desk then launch vis from console. If you make changes and want to update the patch then close vis manually and then relaunch from console.

It will patch all fixtures but correct simulation will depend on whether the definitions exist or are correct. You can edit or make new definitions with viswiz.

I was fairly sure this worked. If not then patch manually I guess.

A concurrent post has been automatically merged from this point on.

I have now checked this and it does work. I can only think you are doing something wrong.

Patch console. Ensure vis is not running. [shift]+show vis. Fixtures will auto-patch and vis will also link to console.

On further playing...the Visualiser will auto patch the first time it is loaded after the desk boots. However, if I close the visualiser to patch in more fixtures, reload the viz. The new fixtures dont even appear.

Also, The original fixtures never respond...

This may be true - I can check tomorrow, but can you confirm how you are closing and relaunching?

How do you mean? This sounds like DMX is not set to 'simulator' and that is usually a result of not launching via the console.

With the Avo Shift Key and what every the corresponding viz key.

The DMX is set to simulator. And when I select the fixtures they turn a darker shade blue, But none of the attributes work nor does the dimmer or anything...

Two possibilities I can think of. Either the fixture is working but it seems not - ie. shutter is closed or iris is at smallest (often the simulation will completely block output) or it doesn't have a correct definition for the fixture (true for the majority of LED products). What fixtures are they?

I really don't understand why it isn't working. I tried today and had no problems with updating patch/relaunch etc. I could repeatedly do it. Ordinary moving heads work fine too. Using locate to bring in shutter/iris etc. is usually the easiest way to start off, just as you would with the real thing. Beyond that I don't have any other ideas.

It works the same on Titan.
