paulears
Moderation: For those who don't wish go looking for what is being talked about here - the XTI 6000 is a 6K (when bridged) amplifier.
Ben Lawrance
If it's anything like the 4000, then don't use it on bottom end duty. I've had 2x 4000's go into thermal and fall over.

ChazHS
and I've got 18 that don't................hmmmmmm We use the XTi 4000s on Logic System bins for club use and haven't had any problems with thermals either, maybe they are being overdriven? Sound In Gloucestershire
I dont think your post has any relevance to this thread? Ive just read the same thing on the Crown Amps thread!!! if the one gentleman has cooked 2 amps and noone else is, perhaps it wasnt the amps, possibly a cable fault or just overdriven? Id imagine its probaby overdriving, anyway the 3 year warranty should sort any problems out which you may have.
StevenW2
Save your money - MC2 E90 is 8K per channel and a better sounding amp - much faster slew rate and a tighter bottom end. Also you get a five year warranty. We have heard them and will have a demo amp next month to do serious testing. Looking to re-power all our subs with them over the summer. We did use Crown I-Techs up until last year, but ran into power problems with them. They also had a habit of slowly getting noisier - Crown replaced the capacitors on the power supplies under warranty and it seemed to help. One thing for certain - with power amps getting bigger and better, the market for 2nd hand amps is now almost non-existant. We have had to donate all of our older kit to a youth project as no amount of advertising was going to shift it!
