juha v
I have recently started learning PC-stage lighting control software I don't manage to link the video files with it. When I try to execute the video file in Media sync plugin window I get a message error: unknown command or similar. Do you have to convert you video file into certain format or are there other tricks I need to know?
dbuckley
Can you be exact with your error message? Ans what you were doing when it appears?

dbuckley
I think you have misunderstand the syntax of the command. Where arguments are shown in square brakets, that means they are optional - the square brackets are not to be used literally as part of the command. Thus the play command (shown in the command help as Play [<filename>]) can be used on its own, in which case it will play the currently open file, or you can follow the word play with a filename, in which case it will load that file and start playing it. I recommend that you load the file using the open command first, and do it whilst nothing else is going on, to stop the loading process glitching the user interface, and then issue the play command when you want to go. So set up two seperate cues, with an event in each. Open E:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_02_1.VOB Play Also, many commands are case sensitive. If the filename has spaces in it, put it in quotes. A trick - when you are entering the command in the cue editor, once you've typed Open, and followed it by a space, right-click and a file navigator becomes available!
