Magda
Hello,I am in a process of researching the demand for lighting professionals to specialize in more than one field of lighting. These include stage, film, photography and architecture. I will be extremely thankful to all of you who take time to answer questions in this quick survey. It shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes. It is brief and anonymous. Here's the link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=Qbdz...hK7K7KkTA_3d_3d All the best,Magda
The Gaffa
Welcome to the BR Magda. It would be helpful if you could put your location in your profile. Is the research for a thesis or for marketing purposes?
Magda
This is for my thesis. I will update my profile in a sec.
boatman
I'm retired now so won't take part, but you've missed out one area of lighting which is television. It is very different from lighting for stage or photography, but unless you consider it to be the same as lighting for film, you should have a separate option. Magda
I guess television goes under film lighting, doesn't it? ... yeah, it must do. Retired professionals count equally!
Magda
Thank you to all who have answered my survey. So far I have 45 results, so I will still be very thankful to more volunteers. Can anyone suggest a good forum for film and photography lighting professionals? It doesn't need to be British only.
GRisdale
I suspect Shooting People (or "Shooters") would get you a lot of responses - most of the film types I know read the bulletins, though it costs £30 a year to join. If you emailed them nicely they would probably put your post out. I'd do it for you but my subscription's well out of date now that I'm firmly entrenched in the theatre... Gareth. JDLX
Survey appears to only apply to freelancers so I won't fill it out
