chris512 Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 hi all, was just wondering if anyone knew where I can get hold of a copy of any "guys and dolls" soundtrack, but only the orchestral score with no vocals?? we're doing an extract from it for our official opening and unfortunaley don't have an MD and I dont particular wanna use A) a piece with vocals already on it or B) a MIDI version!!! any help will be greatly appreciated cheers!
peter Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 You could try contacting the publishers (Josef Weinberger Ltd) for a rehearsal CD, however they probably won't lend something if they suspect it's going to be used in a performance situation.
dominicgross Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 theres nothing wrong with a midi version: just as long as its playing back through a decent module (like a kord Triton rack...)
jot100 Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 When do you need it? I may be able to get a copy from the musical theatre tutor here.
chris512 Posted May 20, 2004 Author Posted May 20, 2004 really asap!!! but the next couple of weeks is fine as they can rehearse with the vocal version till then
jot100 Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 The dance team are seeking the cd and I will copy it for you when it arrives. Where do I need to send it?
jot100 Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Ammendment. Sorry it could possibly have vocals on the cd they arent sure yet (why they dont already know is anyones guess!) Im still chasing up the musical theatre tutor so fingers crossed. As a second though I dont know where you are but The National Theatre in London did Guys and Dolls not so long ago and may be able to help.
