mattw
I'm having a few problems with my Mh660's; On start up I get PAEr on one and HEAT on another, I have lost my PDF copy of the manual so does anyone know what they stand for and probable cause/fix. I also turned one on the other day and it completely died on me, its not the fuse, I think it may have been a dodgy socket in my dining room that blew something, any ideas? Cheers,Matt. Mr Steve
I don't have any MH660s but I would guess that PAEr is a Pan Error, and HEAT is that the thing thinks it's over heating. If it's just been turned on I would assume the heat sensor has failed. With regard to the "dead" one, have you checked any internal fuses on the fixture itself? ChrisBogg
The PAer is a pan error I think and the heat indicates that the head is trying to strike the lamp but cant. This is often because the lamp is to hot IE "Heat" but can be a lamp that has gone or also the light diode that senses if the lamp is struck. The user manual of the robe colourspot 250 XT should help you as its very much the same fixture. I did have the futurelight manual somewhere if I find it I will let you know. Nathan at Robe UK has always been very helpful with my mh660 issues as they built them for futurelight. The diodes near the lamp are worth changing as this was a fault on the units they didnt last that long. They are only about a pound or two. As for the PAer Is the head panning round when powered up? does it stop when it reaches its microswitch at the end or does it keep bouncing against it? Chris Dam! must type faster! There is an internal fuse that can go with the lamp that when left will render the unit looking like it has no power. It is one of the two on the main board. If it goes right away again try removing the lamp and starting the unit with no lamp in first. Chris A concurrent post has been automatically merged from this point on. Email me and I will reply with the service manual and user manuals for the mh660. I just found them Chris Chris@dbs-solutions.co.uk
