gnomatron Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Here's cheaper t-lines - http://www.stage-electrics.co.uk/product.aspx?code=636-3592 - and that's just the first place I found with google. Worth the extra money if you intend to chain lots of them, seeing as the alterntive is to buy a whole bunch of 16A y-splits, which will generally cost more, and you'll still need a 16A connector on the led par. Mind you the y-splits are more generally useful.
Pete McCrea Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Give Karl at Peak Hire a call- they've had stocks of the TLine in, and are local to you.
Sound In Gloucestershire Posted January 1, 2009 Author Posted January 1, 2009 cheers Pete, somehow I always forget about Peak as I dont seem to encounter them often
hounsome Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 put T-lines on them. it is a 16a in and a 16a out in 1 plug. I have had them on most kit I hire of late saves having lots of big spliters. most hire companys have started to put them on movers as well as LED kit. Just watch how meny things get pluged in do not overload the incoming ie if all starts on a 13a. 13a is all you can use. colin
lightsource Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 For this use IP44 is fine, as your using them inside. In a marquee there is the a chance of some damp but your never going to have a flow of water over the conectors. That is not strictly true, Last Easter weekend, we did sound and lighting for a Bikers festival in a 500 capacity marquee........The roof leaked, and the water fell in multiple places, including the FOH position, which contained mixing desk, lighing console, computers and outboard......by the end of the night the whole lot was under about 10 bin liners, as there was water dripping everywhere. Also with marquees, if there's strong winds with the rain (as in our case) it can blow the water through all the gaps, entrances etc. Just because you're in a marquee, don't expect it to be waterproof.
