jenn
Does anyone have a stage plan and a technical plan for the Pleasance, Islington? I have had a look on their website, have tried googling it, and have looked on the BR wiki... Thanks for any help you can give. :) Jenn
Tom
Have you tried asking them?Technical Stage Manager - Jason Kirkjason@pleasance.co.uk The best place to get info about a venue from is always the venue - that way you know it's right / up to date and if it's not you know who to blame. gareth
Did you have any joy with your Pleasance groundplan hunt? If you haven't managed to find one yet, let me know - I have a drawing from when I took a show in there in the autumn. I make no guarantees as to its accuracy - it came to me from our production office with a set drawn on it, and while I assume they obtained it from the venue I couldn't swear to it. It was certainly accurate enough for the purposes of drawing a lighting rig over the top of it, with the exception of the fact that the upstage flying bars aren't exactly where the drawing says they are! The Pleasance has a sort of 'false pros' in the form of a triangular tower in each DS corner (with speakers halfway up) - these aren't shown on the drawing, as they were temporarily removed to accomodate our set. I also don't know how accurate the drawing is in the area between the front edge of the stage and the front of the seating block, as we put in some custom-built infills to level out this area so the drawing doesn't show what's underneath these infills. That said, if you want a copy of the file, let me know! Edit to add : Hmm. Having just checked your profile, Jenn, I see that you haven't actually visited the site since you posted the question. Asking for help, letting poeple give it, and then not bothering to come back and read what they've given - well, it's a bit rude, isn't it? :P

I'm honestly not being rude! I had hoped to get back on here sooner, but best laid plans and all that... I will contact the venue today to ask them for the plans. I only hadn't previously as I didn't want to make a big fuss - I'm not definitely doing a show there, but may be in the future so wanted to have a rough idea of what it was like. In future I will contact the venue directly. Thank you to Tom for the Technical Manager's contact details, and thank you to Gareth for the additional detail about the pros and speaker positions. :P Jenn
gherriott
I did a show there only last month, so have an updated groundplan with lx bars drawn in should you be unable to get one from Jason (The Venue Technical Manager). As mentioned above though, always best to get direct from the venue, they could have done some internal decorating since last month!

David Lee
They would be three years out of date. Try asking the venue for up to date ones.
