erroneousblack Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Whilst being given a pre-interview building tour of a theatre in a European capital city,(not London) I was shown the roof void and the hanging gear for the auditorium chandelier. It was a ragged ancient piece or 6mm steel rope with two foot apart old style dogs holding it in place. When I enquired about a safety line I got an ironic laugh in reply.
Brian Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 An update on this item; in the new issue of the ABTT's 'Sightlines' is a report that states the the Chandelier did not fall, in fact it never moved. There was a fall of some plaster which was damaged previously.
