Calling all DMX > 0-10v decoder users

Hi all. I'm thinking about modding a more powerful 4-colour chaser thingy to be DMX-runnable, so am after a 4 or 8 channel decoder module which I can then use the 0-10v outputs from to drive a transformer hooked up to each bulb holder (I'd rather run it off my laptop than a bulgin chaser). Can anyone recommend a straightforward module that'll let me do this, or should I just wait till I can get a cheapish but reliable 4channel DMX dimmer and plug 4x PAR56 lanterns into that (and if so, what does anyone make of the showtec multidim listed on terralec.com)?

do you mean a module to drive a triac or other switching device? from your post it sounds like you want one that can source enough power to drive a lamp via a transformer, this would be harder to find and would also need some information about the lamps you wish to power
