Just a quick one to see if anyone has any recommendations for the best place to purchase HMS krabs at the moment?

 

I have my eyes on a couple from Flints but was wondering if anyone has found any elsewhere recently?

Hi Mat,

 

I recently purchased some Petzl krabs which are HMS they are called william triact locks. I brought these becuase they are auto locking and they were the only ones I could open one handed easily. Odd - prompted by your post I just took a look at Flints website and they don't seem to sell an HMS karabiner.

 

Personally, I'm not a fan of Petzl karabiners; I don't care for the 'triact' gate and find the 'D-ball' gate intolerably fiddly.

My favourite HMS for work is the DMM Boa, available in ally or steel with screwgate, double or triple action.

 

My karabiners generally come from the same shop I buy most of my rock-climbing kit from. (CragX.com - they're based at the climbing wall I spend a fair bit of time playing in, rather less convenient for you though they do mail order.)

 

Can't be any shortage of climbing/caving shops down Brizzle way. :)
