Hi, does anyone have one of these? or know where I can get spares? One of the fans has packed up and Coemar UK don't seem to support it anymore, which is pretty unreasonable really..

anyway, any advice or info gratefully received.

Thanks, Mike

Mike,

Have you tried contacting Coemar on their 'international' site at www.coemar.com? I wouldn't hold out for a reply mind, I e-mailed them a week ago asking for a product manual that isn't on the site and haven't had a reply yet but it's worth trying?

If it's the Pilota's that you have I think you will struggle, I know a couple of venues that used to have them and they scrapped them as it was virtually impossible to get hold of parts for them.

From what I understand, Coemar UK isn't really part of Coemar itself, it's just a UK dealer, so I think it's unlikely they would have a huge amount of stuff in stock.

As for Coemar's International's service don't hold your breath, I had to wait 14 weeks to have some of their Sequenza floods delivered! It was only when I threatend to cancel the order that they miraculously turned up!

Hi Mike

Just checked our Coemar price list and the Pilota is shown as a 1200w, only the testa shows 2000watt halogen. If it is a Testa then it should be supported.

Coemar can be very slow for older items as they wait until they have enough orders to batch produce the parts.

Let me know what bits you need and ill ask if they are available.

HI Mike

I contacted the Coemar factory about this Pilots and this is their response

"Hello again,

unfortunately there is no exploded diagram and no spares for Pilota

1200, it is out of production for a lot of years"

I have just bought a secondhand Pilota that takes a 1kW T11 type lamp. Its not a bad device, but the fans are pretty noisy. I was considering replacement as I imagine they are off the shelf units. I think if I can get the fans quieter I will also rewire to have the fans running full with the lamp supply into a unit dimmer for variable brightness
