Ancient ACT6 needs new local faders

I need to repair an old (probably 25 years or so) ACT6 dimmer pack. It's the one with a single 15A socket per channel and a panel with six local faders (shown at the back of this picture).

Two of the faders are completely gubbed and the other four are unreliable. Can anyone help me with a schematic or parts list. I searched the Strand Archive but can only find a user manual from 1983 and there's nothing at all of that age on the SL/Philips website.

They're Helag 10K linear faders.

Any 10k linear fader with a 60 mm travel will do. There's nothing special about them, it's just that it's difficult to get hold of an alternative with the same footprint.

A few helag faders are still available from White Light Tech Services along with complete fader panel assemblies if you're interested.

Thanks guys. I don't actually have the box here, it's in a storeroom in the village hall. I'll get it out next week and have a look.

A quick Google shows that Farnell have 10k linear 60mm sliders so I'll see if they can be made to fit.

I believe these are the same type used in Tempus control desks, so if you can find an old one of those, you may be able to strip it for the parts. I know a lot of schools etc are throwing them out having had a re-fit. I purchased some spare ones a few years back to fix a Tempus desk and they were expensive then (probably due to limited supply - not sure if they are still made).

If you're really struggling, and you only need one or two, send me a PM as I may have some stored away somewhere, we may be able to sort something out.

Ben.

Thanks for that tip Ben. There's the remains of an old Tempus desk lying in the Community Hall which closed last January. I can probably get it out of there and canibalise some bits from it.
