gregog
Hello Ladies and Gents,I wonder if you could help. I am currently working with a strand classic pallette and am finding it hard to figure out how to set one of the channels as a non dim. On the 500 + 300 series' it's simple, yet the pallette must have some convoluted way opf doing it! If anyone could please let me know how to do it it would be greatly appreciated. Despite doing the strand classic pallette training recently, the gentleman leading the course could not do it and get it to work so I am still non the wiser! Many thanks in advance,Steve
SoLiEn
Taken from the User Guide which can be found here: http://www.strandlighting.com/clientupload...a134e49c0e7e030 try page 265 - 266 entitled Profiling the Output
MarkPAman
Took me less than a minute to find this: Select from the combo box to change the Profile of the Output. For example, if you chooseInverted, when the control channel reads 100% in the Channel Grid, the Output will actually beat 0%. The following profiles are available: Linear; Snap at Start; Snap at End; Zig Zag, SquaresLaw; Invert; Slow Start; Fast Start; Fast End; Damped; Slow End; Non-Dim; 35% Jump Start and I don't do lights! :)

gregog
Well thank you muchly for your help and beautiful patronising comments :) I asked as I thought somebody might have known a different way so that I didn't have to sift through the nightmare of a manual, which generally are unclear and pants. You've obviously never had to play with a pallette, which are a nightmare in themselves! Nevertheless, many thanks for your help!
gareth
You've obviously never had to play with a pallette, which are a nightmare in themselves! So it would seem! Is it really the case that to patch a channel as a non-dim - which could be achieved in a fraction of a second with one single extra keypress when patching the channel on a 500-series - you have to fanny about with editing the channel profile?! Sounds like a backwards step to me ...

Sounds like a backwards step to me ...A backwards step indeed! Which is why I asked for some help! It's a nightmare to do, it's a piece of p*ss on the 500, but all backwards on the pallette, which seems to be the case with most of it. Was chatting to Bill at Strand on Monday and they're reverting back to some of the old ways... which is good!! Glad someone agrees with me though, cheers Gareth!
