Darkness
Hi All I help out an amdram group who recently put a show on at our local theatre. The show went well but what let it down really was the micing of the stage. We used C1000s, we hung them from the bars and they really did sound horrid but it was the only mics we had. I've noticed on here that a lot of people say bad things about the C1000s which after the last show I can see why. We mainly perform on a stage about 5m square although last week we where on a 7m x 9m stage. We also go around to local groups and put shows on for them and currently hang the C1000s above the cast to pickup group singing I was just wondering what mics people generally use for micing a stage. I know it will depend on the stage and other things but is there a reasonable mic that would be better than the C1000s Thanks
Ynot
Hi There have been LOTS of threads here about micing up school perforances (and the like) - might I suggest a bit of a search before we start another one which will generate much the same input...? Search terms might be 'boundary mic' or 'plate mic' or 'PCC160' or 'miking school'
