Laser Hire NorthEast UK

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can hire a laser for a DJ night near Durham in North East England. It's a single night (Sunday 5th Oct). Normally would go straight to vortex but the Martin 1.6W RGB is a bit out of my price range. I'm after something powerful enough for liquid sky effects, and with a couple of animations built in so it's not just a plain straight line sky. Do you know if I can hire this (laser only, smoke etc sorted already) for less than £100? If so, where from? Not bothered about having variable colours or anything, just a single colour is fine. Room is ~18m long, and has an 8m high ceiling. Room capacity is ~450 if that helps with dimensions.

for just a bit more than your hire budget, consider buying a Laser UK DJ Burst for £189 (make sure its the latest MK2 version), ive used 2 in a rooms this sort of size and they are great. Runs through its programs, including liquid sky, can also work DMX and you can link 2 up and they look great.

Hmm, the only thing I can suggest is checking out any local DJ equipment shops, mobile DJ's or similar, to see if they'll let you hire any of their lasers off them.

 

The only company I know that does lasers that cheap is Viking in Norwich.. bit far away from you & they'll easily want £80 ex vat just for delivery/collection.

 

Other than those two ideas, its pretty unlikely you'll have any luck. There's a reason lasers are so expensive to hire..
