NHTV
Is it possible with the MX70 to take a .jpg image (say for a virtual set) loaded into the mixer via the software and use it as a source in the M/E bank so that it can be chroma keyed as the background for our talent? If so, how do we do it? I guess what we're trying to do is take a downstream image and move it upstream.

You are able to recall frames (stored as pages) using the INT VIDEO options (scroll down to the bottom line), select the appropriate page, select MODE Preview, press Enter. Your stored frame should now be available to you on the INT/EXT source. I see no reason why you would not be able to chroma onto this source. I know for absolute certain you can mix to this source just like any other so you should be able to chroma to it. I am pretty sure you can load your stored frames into the MX70 using the MX Navi software. This would allow you to capture a jpg. Not having a desk in front of me I can't tell you how to do this. Next time I find myself near an MX70 I will give it a try and report back here with some less guesswork! Cheers,Peter
