techwsussex
Hi guys, it's been a while since I was here. Little query about bubblehouse kit. For those who don't know, bubble house is inflatable rigged 'furniture' for easily branding or theming club nights and so on. Each piece comes with a small fan that inflates it when it's plugged into a 16A outlet, and that's pretty much it. A piece usually weighs a few kg. We use a lot at work, and it's easy to use, but also easy to tear. One of our major pieces has been torn, only a small tear, and my boss has asked to research anyone who could fix it. Yellow pages doesn't have a section on it so I'm asking you lot! Do I just need a sewing machine, or is there a quicker trick or something, or some special technique for these repairs I should know about? Cheers Owen
dosxuk
It's not a certain club night archway is it? Our's keeps getting broken by people poking it... Anyway, small tears can be sown up quite easily, just need to make sure the pieces are sewn up sufficiently strongly to resist the pressure when it's inflated. Bigger tears probably need patching, and we've sent ours back to bubblehouse to do this.
techwsussex
Yup, it's a clubnight archyway, and a pain in the arse too! I'll have a look at the tear. Do you handstitch, or machine? Owen
slipstream
Your local bouncy castle mfg can probably look at it for you or the local HGV trailer repair people, unless it's the ripstop nylon fabric, which never seems to repair that well, patch from the inside and use the iron on hem repair stuff.
