Kevin Ross
Morning blueroom, I am putting together a simple band PA to go out on jobs, you know 2 tops 2 subs about 3.5kw, and so was looking at a few crossovers, some of the places require the subs and/or mains to be split located and so I was looking at one of the cheaper digital crossovers so I can manage the delay between the speakers. I was all ready to buy the standard ultradrive when I came across this http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tracks_ds_24.htm It looks like it will do the setup I want i.e. mono tops with aux fed subs and if it goes out for a disco (sic) then I can run it stereo 2 way. It has delay on the outputs and even a few PEQs thrown in and more to the point can be security locked! So on paper it looks good but what I want to know is has anyone actual used one and are they any good or should I just spend the extra £70 on an ultradrive? mervaka
when you say "ultradrive" and mean the behringer DCX2496, a lot of us have those, including myself. you get a lot for your money.

Yes sorry I should have been a shade more specific, I did mean the behringer DCX2496. I like these units and have used them before hence why I was going to buy one for this rig until I spotted the T.Racks DS 2/4. For this setup I would not need the extra input and extra 2 outputs of the behringer + other features and so I was looking to save £
Kevin Ross
Well in the end ze Germans kept on loosing my order and since I could do with it sooner rather than later I decided to just go to that well known site that sells spares for studios and buy an ultradrive. Should be turning up today I foresee a few hours in the lockup getting each driver in the stack in perfect time alignment, ohh and not forgetting the limiters and getting the PC software installed
mervaka
I cant say I've ever had a problem with thomann. they've been nothing but excellent to me, and I have ######ed them around amending my order quite a bit..

I’m sure they are very good but I did confuse the situation a bit by changing my payment method and a few other things. It was the slight push I needed to stick with the tried and testing ultradrive. Overall I did find them very friendly and helpful and will no doubt be ordering stuff from them in the future.
