adam_brown87
Hi all. I am having trouble with my IEM's. I have a set of JTS SIEM-111 but am having a major problem with them. The rx is staying on mute and there isnt a mute button on the pack. When you turn the unit on it might unmute for about 30 secs then go back to mute. I then thought it might have been the channel so I have changed that many times with out any join, Does any one know what it might be or know where to get it fixed. Thanks
Lamplighter
Hi AdamA basic query, have you checked that each receiver frequency is the same as the transmitter and that the frequency is not being used by any of your radio microphones.Brian
adam_brown87
Yes checked all that. I get the signal come up on the RX and it works for a bit.
Lamplighter
AdamCan you give some more detail. Are you testing the receiver close to the transmitter or at some distance, eg stage to control room. Does the transmitter show the right level of input audio? Does the receiver show a decent signal level and are transmitter and receiver in the same group? Are you using more than one transmitter? I take it that you are at sea and not able to speak to JTS.Brian
adam_brown87
Answered in PM. I've not worked at sea for a while! this is a personal thing not for work!
Derek Tallent
I think you'll find you've got a faulty unit - we had this happen to us about eighteen months ago, when we first had the JTS IEMs. Your best bet is to contact Proel - if the units are still under warranty, then generally they'll just swap them straight out with new units

Rob_Beech
Halvor. It appears that Adam got in touch by his local Proel dealer and sorted it that way. Your best bet is to do the same, though I'm unsure as to where your closest distributor is. It may have to have a trip to the UK.
Doug Siddons
This happened to me on a radio mic from JTS, Proel swapped it and no further probs.
