P. Funk Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 yes it is a hoax. there's no way that addiong someone to your MSN list can get you a virus (unless you accept a file fromt hem and run it). technically it is a virus - that message has been spread around MSN for a long time, and got into pretty much everyone who uses MSNs computers... it just has no payload... but really.. just ignore it.. I might just add that address anyway...
TomLyall Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 I have the same problem with chain mail.. the one about msn closing and your account being deleated if you do not forward this email springs to mind... really irritates me... *feels a crosspost to pet hates coming on*
AndrewGrant Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 yagsnotae@hotmail.com Just been chatting to this guy. He is an IT technician from Wales called Dave.
TomLyall Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 hmm possibly someone with a grudge against him spreading it?
P. Funk Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 that guy must have a huge contact list by now! think how many people will have added him...
TomLyall Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 well your limited to 150 anyway... although I think he's getting a little irritated with it, and can you blame him!
Shaun Foster Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 Perhaps someone called eaton is spreading it
