Stu Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 http://www.is4profit.com/busadvice/nationa...e/nmw2.htm#2004 Minimum wage to increase to £4.85p/h as from the 1st October 2004. New changes seem to be that the top wack will apply to 18-21yr olds as well, instead of the lower tier for this age bracket. 16 and 17yr olds will now have a minimum wage of £3p/h. Hope this of interest.Stu
Tomo Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Finally! Of course, I doubt that my local students union has noticed this yet, and it will utterly mess up the budgeting because they didn't bother allowing for water rates this year (!!??) But they'll probably deal with the problem in the typical stupid way of managers everywhere - cut the jobs that do the work, rather than the managers who are a waste of time.(There are at least four managers at this place who do next to nothing, one of whom should have been fired for incompetence long ago)
