raj Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Is this a martin lighjocky 'copy' or is it new? Looks pretty nifty... Robe cyber control
vinny baby Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 I believe that this is ROBES own software, as most of the products they manufacture are there own, others copy robe but not the other way round. I have yet to use this software, I will make a full review when I have vince
Stu Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Personally I wouldn't mind a play on their new desk - can't remember the name but it's got 1024 in it... Runs something like 48 movers... Anyway whatever it's called, I'd like a play all the same ;) Edit: It's called DMX Control 1024. Just downloaded the manual, so I'm going to give it a read. Stu
vinny baby Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 the console you mention stu, is cracking, loads of features and easy to use, I would well recommed a demo if ya can get one
wodp Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Shame there's no sign of a link to a demo download. Only lighting app I picked up at all was showXpress but I couldnt get it to run several scenes at once so I gave up on it. A demo of the robe thing and I'd think about it... Dave
Dead_Skunk Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 The download link for the Cyber Control is Cyber Control Link If that fails, go to Robe and follow, products, controllers, cyber control, and on the right hand side is the download link I have purchased the standard version, and it is very good. Loads of features, just need to get used to not having faders in front of me!!
jfitzpat Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Is this a martin lighjocky 'copy' or is it new? Looks pretty nifty... Robe cyber control<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Definately not a copy. LJ, as its name implies, really is oriented towards a 'club' environment. Robe, like us, has gone for a more 'show' type approach. I'm not entirely sure why Robe has not pushed their PC offering more. I do not even think they showed it at last year's LDI. In fact, the Robe folks spent quite a bit of time talking to us, both at LDI and again at Pro Production. We don't even do visualization (though we just added CITP support to connect directly to Capture 3.0 without a DMX interface), just the control side, so I'm not sure why interest has been so high. I thought it might be something like channel density or SMPTE, but I would think that Robe's package would support multiple universe 'dongles', and they definately have an 'extra' dongle with some IO for external triggers. -jjf
