I'm pretty sure that a similar question was asked before in another place, and someone managed to contact the guy who designed FMX (name escapes me - he might now be working for CCT). The response was that FMX is completely incompatible with everything else.

 

If you only have 18 channels, I'd suggest trying to get new dimmers, as it won't cost that much (in absolute terms).
