AKG C411

Any one used C411's on nylon strung acoustic guitar?

The proposed mix on stage of percussion & some electric backline will make micing the acoustic a bad option for mons if not foh too. The guitar concerned doesn't have any p/u at all - nor will a clamp-one device be allowed near said instrument, so a sticky-on-with-blutak arrangement is the route I'll take.

Could the AKG's be better at the job than a good stick-on p/u like the Dyn-G. The budget won't run to DPA!

All experiences moist grapefruitly received.

Cheers

Dave

Hi, just bumping this up a bit as I load a gig in in 7 days, where we need to use our C411's. And AKG have been exceptionally slow about getting back to us, with regard to the sticky goo. We need to get some more, except they are quoting a 2 week lead time... not very useful...

Does anyone know of any suitable substitutes? Would blue-tack be acceptable...?

Thanks in advance

Try your country's Schertler distributor for the goo:
