Hi, I need to make three creatures that are about 12inches high. They need to communicate with the audience but once they have each character has to go off stage in seperate directions. I just need to know how these characters would go off stage?? Any ideas....my budget is not millions so it has to both look good and convincing.

More informations please!

A) How do they communicate with the audience -What do they have to say or do?

b) Were about onstage are these characters?

c) Is there any kind of flooring that you can bed a track into?

d) How far are the audience from the "creatures"?

e) Were are you performing?

and any other info that will help us out B-)

skate wheels, fishing line and 3 x ASMs will take care of the movement without too much cost. Sound is slightly more tricky - in ear monitor system with a battery-operated self-powered speaker built into in each figurine? Costs start to build up a bit. if you need the figurines' features (eyes, mouth etc) to move, then pretty big bucks required for sophisticated radio-controlled animatronics.

Hi, Andy, thanks for replying back!

Not sure as of yet what exactly these creatures are saying as the script has not been entirely written tho one of them is playing the harmonica. The creatures are gonna be quite close to the audience. There are 15 venues we are playing at and one of them is a studio space which means the audience will be more closer to the models. In terms of getting them off and on stage I was thinking of using a remote control car, stripping it down so that I just have the remote control part of the car and making the model over it by using light material. This is the only method I have come up with so far. However the models do have to speak to the audience..I'm not sure exactly how Im gonna do this with the budget I have.

I can't log onto your website for some reason but if there was any chance of speaking over the phone then that would be cool as I am better at explaining. I think our first gig will be at the Richmix in bethnal green.

Cheers!!!
