paulears
Many venues fill their website's technical sections with information that is either too non-technical, or pretty unhelpful material - but I noticed one that had really good information. Stage sizes, counterweight flying info - weights and locations, a downloadable stage plan and in their sound section, a really honest comment.UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THE CONFIGURATION OF OUR SOUND SYSTEM BE CHANGED. BY ANYONE, REGARDLESS OF AGE EXPERIENCE, OR FLANNEL. IF YOU CAN USE THE SYSTEM AS IT IS YOU ARE MOST WELCOME AND WE WILL PROVIDE ALL THE ASSISTANCE YOU REQUIRE. Cliffs Theatre, Southend-on-Sea. Feel free to add other theatre web sites that have well designed technical info.

Just Some Bloke
Funny how you spot one thing in the specs: The Gala is a 500-seat proscenium venue with 21 places to plug in the riggers' remote. Seems a bit excessive? Nice venue though. Seen panto there a few times (as the parents live there and I usually get up for a couple of days at Christmas). I won't mention the mis-spelling of the "Juliet Foxie followspot" - oops, too late!
gareth
Maybe one of the followspot ops is called Juliet, and she's rather foxy ....
The Gaffa
at Gareth If anyone wants technical info about either the Queen Charlotte Hall or The Studio Theatre, Parkshot, Richmond, Surrey, TW9, Please PM me with your email address & I'll send you the specs. Unfortunately, our Website ( www.racc.ac.uk ) doesn't have any information about the two venues (an oversight)
mark_s
The Theatre Royal Newcastle I second the comments about The Gala being a nice venue too - and their stage school is very talented. I seen their production of Jekyll & Hyde in February (or March, whichever it was), and was stunned by the overall quality of it.
IRW
Ours (Lichfield Garrick) will have when we finish updating/compiling them! The Gala is a 500-seat proscenium venue with 21 places to plug in the riggers' remote. To be fair, we could probably come close to that (if not surpass it!)- We have riggers sockets on most facility panels around the main theatre!
