iamchristuffin
So, got to wondering.... If CMY is a better colour changing system for moving lights, why is RGB used for LEDs? Also, sorry if this has a really poor title, but it's late (or early) and I couldn't think of what else to put. TIA, Chris
dbuckley
Because.... CMY is subtractive, and RGB is additive :P
peternewman
Further to dbuckley's comment, have a look in the wiki at the CMY and RGB pages.
iamchristuffin
Thanks guys, that's helped. And WOW!! (excuse the shouting), the wiki has just explained colour mixing better than about 4 different people I've asked on the subject. So thanks also goes to whoever wrote those pages. Moderation: As we seem to have a happy ending here (and the topic has been covered extensively in the links provided) we'll close this one now!
