hii guys and a very cool weekend wishes from the island of cyprus to everyone.

my question which I have is I am planning to invest in some aplifiers for my patch of nuq 15 speakers from turbosound.MY company is planning to invest in a patch of powersoft amps of the kseries for drivving in active form our speakers .these speakers are used in our touring department as small pa systems to floor monitors for various bands. I was wondering how reliable the powersoft amps are or should I look into something else.the powersoft are chosen for their weight and networking capability. are there many touring companies who use the powersoft amps in their touring department??????

If weight is your main concern then hows about Lab gruppen FP or FP+, 4 nice sounding amps in one box weighing in at around 12 Kilos. Our local pa provider has just invested in a load of em,4 way foh and 4 ways of active monitors all in a standard 12u rack. O and they've got a network thingy on the back as well.

Very lightweight and they do seem reliable. I used a few of the older ones and they performed flawlessly for a number of years. That said I do have a faulty DIGAM 7000 laying under the bed so not a 100% reliability record.

We have Powersoft K10 amplifiers in one of our demo racks....decent sounding units, and bucket loads of power!

We've had no reliability problems, and our partners in the US are a complete powersoft house throughout, and have little if no problems.

Having said that, the new Lab's are also awesome...particularly the PLM version with the Lake processor in...

Cheers,

Mike
