johndenim
Sure Rich I get your point, but with most mixers you have a main out to add as many amps as you like. The amps inside the mixer can be used for fold back or side fill, and don't forget, we are talking of live sound for a band in pubs/clubs, not glastonbury. The Op was looking for a powered mixer, I would suggest an A&H pa12, a bit out of the budget but I have heard this and for the price, its a very good mixer indeed. http://www.dv247.com/invt/froogle/36456/ Have a look around, maybe you can get it for a bit less. As far as powered monitors are concerned, whats your budget for these? If you go too cheap you wont great sound quality, and the foldback is what you and your whole band will listen to the most. These,http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_box_ma120_mk_ii.htmfrom our german friends look ok, if you are after something cheap, but I cant comment as I have not heard them. John Denim. In which case why not just buy the amp and desk seperatly in the first place? This will save weight and give you versitility. As for the monitors, there very good for there price tag.
