Martin LC Series Video Screens - hire?

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum so please be gentle! We did a cabaret show last year at my school, and it was a massive success. Next year we are doing a different show, and it needs to be bigger and better! We're currently looking for ideas and companies we can hire gear off. I have been thinking about using video screens for a while.

Does anyone know a company that hires martin LC Series LED screen panels?

Cheers,

Larry :)

Seeing as your profile is blank in terms of your location, there isn't much point recommending companies, as you could be several thousand miles away.

LED screens aren't cheap, even the LED curtain and LC Series type products. This means the hire rates aren't cheap. Generally you aren't going to get change from £2k for a low res screen of a sensible size. You will also need to hire a tech or two, as I know of no company that is likely to dry hire a video wall of that type, to a School. No disrespect meant, just that they are fragile and need experienced handling.

The there is also the question of what your going to put on it, and how your going to get it there...

Thanks for your reply. I have updated my profile, so hopefully you can see where I am based!(Ipswich, Suffolk). I appreciate the screens will not be cheap, but we have funds from this years show. We hired a 10,000 lumen projector for our last show, and therefore have plenty of graphics to use on the screens. I know that after talking to companies that do hire the equipment it may not be possible for us to use them, but certainly with the money that we have it is currently an option.

Cheers

Sounds like you have thought about it, and are aware of some of the pitfalls, and importantly what you are actually going to use it for.

XL Video might be worth a try, as I believe there was a press release knocking about recently which mentioned their LC40 screen stock.

Hi Sleepytom. I liked the idea of the Martin panels due to their semi-transparent feature. But this is not essential! If there is another product that is more affordable then I am open to suggestions!!

Cheers,
