New cabs wanted, which do I choose????

Well, they're not cheap. but I've always found them reliable and that's worth a lot to me. The MkII has a freq. variable notch filter on the monitor send (only) to help with feedback reduction, if that's what you mean.

The deal is though, that it's a real one stop solution. The outputs are limited, the FX are very usable. The whole desk is cleverly voiced to give a full sound which always comes over as more 'produced' that it actually is.

There may be 'more cost effective' ways to do a similar job, but what these desks do they do better than any other powered desk I have heard.

If you can afford the investment I think it's worth it for the result you can get.

I have heard these are very good I hate fisicks, has the powered desk got enough grunt at 1k and does it have all of the bells and whistles like the PM?

I need the amps built in for versatility, and something thats going to be tough enough to handle life on the road.

John Denim. :)

ps, have been looking at this.

My local am-dram theatre has the unpowered version and I like it, I am seriously thinking about getting the PA28 and although I can't comment on the Amp side of things I think the entire PA Series is very good.

P.S. you can get it £20 cheaper Here.

Yes, if you want to wait until August 9th to get it.

The PA series are something I've not had much experience with, but what little I have had I've been happy with. I know someone with one and he's more than happy with it.

Josh, have a look at the Zed range, if you are looking at unpowered. Many more options available to you.

Edit : this has gone on to mixing desks now, but with some useful discussion. perhaps a split?
