Returning a gauze

Hi

 

 

Does any one know how or if it is possible to turn a gauze that has been painted and fire proofed back to white as to buy new is going to cost too much money which we dont have any help would be greatly appreciated

Extremely unlikely.

And to be honest you'd probably spend more than the gauze was worth trying to achieve it.

 

How much have you been quoted for a new gauze, and where from/what size?

 

They aren't that expensive...

If it has been painted with water based scene paints, not aniline dyes, and the colours aren't particularly saturated you might get away with washing it and bleaching it.

Note I did say 'might'.

Which would very likely remove ANY fire retardent properties.....

Perhaps I should have said "wash it, bleach it and fireproof it."

Fire-treating a standard cloth by hand isn't the easiest trick to pull, so doing a gauze is likely to be harder...
