Hi all,

I'm planning a move to the UK/Europe (from ZA) sometime late this year or early next year.

Prior to doing this I'm going to be in the UK area for about 2-4 weeks (Sept2008) with the plan to meet many companies, studios, lighting houses, etc as possible, with the objective of setting up freelance contracting/work.

(Nearly forgot - I have an EU passport)

 

If it's possible could anyone reply with possible links, company names, people that I can meet while over there.

This will greatly be appreciated.

 

My line of work is Electronic maintenance/repairs of any equipment in the film industry. I've been in the electronic field some 30 years and the film industry 2 years (currently with AFM/Panavision South Africa).

My initial aim is be of additional help to companies/studios that have overloads of repairable equipment, or being a subcontractor for staff on set.
