Programming Showtec Showmaster 24

Hello,

OK, I have been given this desk as part of a youth theatre lighting kit. I would basically like to know the logistics of the programming. I know about the record enable but then after that I am lost, Bascically one part of the manual says you can programme scenes and then goes onto say that this is a chase. I just want to use the desk as a basic scene desk not for chases. But at the moment I am not quite sure how to do this.

Thanks,

Ryan

Hi Ryan.

After you enter your record enable code, you are in Record mode, as the Record LED indicates. Here you can do a number of things:

1. Make sure you are in single preset mode, by pressing the Mode Select button. That gives you all the channels controllable by all the faders.

2. Press Shift+Clear (Shift is the same as Record, Clear is the same as Mode Select) to clear the programmer.

3. Set up your channels as you like (remember to set the A and B masters to their maximum settings).

4. Press Record once. All LEDs blink to indicate that the scene is recorded in the programmer.

5. Holding down Record, press and release the flash button of the scene (in Preset B, the lower bank of faders). All the LEDs blink to indicate that the scene has been saved into the fader. Release the Record button.

6. Press Shift+Exit (or Record+AddKill) to exit programming. The Record LED goes out.

7. Get into CHASE/SCENE mode by using the Mode Select button.

8. Push your scene fader up (the one you stored earlier).

9. Enjoy! http://www.blue-room.org.uk/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif

It is not as complicated as it seems.

If you have more questions, please ask!

Dimitris.

edit: Beaten! You replied before I posted. So:

To save a whole cue stack in a fader, just repeat steps 3 and 4 as above. Every time you record a step (or a cue state) the numeric display shows the step number. Store the programmer's contents in a fader as per step 5.

To play back, raise the fader for the first cue to appear.

For the following steps, set the fade time, then press step.

Cheers!

edit II: the sequel:

Don't you just love it ?

I do not know the language but the pictures fit my post brilliantly!!
