palantir
Greetings, allApologies for yet another cheapskate post (but I do listen & learn): Having absorbed much of the advice from the forum, I miced our stage with 3 (cheap) Pro Signal boundary mics & a borrowed pair of Pro45's hung just behind the front tab to pick up from upstage: The combination worked very well, although I was not able to get as much GBF from the condensers as from the boundaries. Anyway, rather than continue borrowing, I'd like to get a pair of small condenser mics for my own use as well as for the hall: I came accross the RV85 from Red 5 Audio, which looks very similar to the Audio Technica & has a very similar frequency response graph. Has anyone used these for general stage mics & would anyone know if they might be useable to mic a Bodrhan (Drum) which has a similar sound to a Tom? Pete....No Bodhran jokes, per-leeeze......I've heard 'em all :)
