timtheenchanteruk
Well, I`m asking somthing for me now, not work! I have 6 trantec bodypacks with the lemo connector, I have also 2 AKGs with mini XLRs, I have bought 8 of the headsets from CPC, with the mini XLRs on them, I also have several dead TS259 mic heads, which are only single core and sheild. the pin out for the AKG mics is this Pin 1: shield Pin 2: audio (inphase) Pin 3: audio the lemo is pin 1 sheild, pin 2 spare, pin 3 white cable (audio) pin 4 spare If I connect the pin 1 of the lemo to pin 1 of the XLR, and the pin 3 to pin 2 would this work? Failing that I will need to get either some of that horrid thin cable with 2 core + sheild, or cut the XLR off and put the lemo direct on.
Rob_Beech
Jumpers are probably the practical way. this means that when the mics with mini XLR on them go missing or break, you can order more at the last minute and not have to rewire them 10 minutes before curtain up. Jumpers between all the common connectors for this type of thing are always a good idea. And your wiring should work if those pin outs are correct. timtheenchanteruk
thats what I was thinking, with the jumpers rather than hard wired, just wanted to make sure of my pinouts first. Cheers.

Trantec Lemo pinouts here I think you will need the 2-core & screen Check your headset wiring - The Stageline headsets (at least one) from CPC have power on a seperate pin to the audio, I.e power, audio, ground, unlike the trantec mic you quote. I think your AKG's will be the same, I.e one of the pins will be power.
timtheenchanteruk
Ah, as I mentioned, they are the CPC headsets, part No MP33909, but the XLRs are designed in such a way that they are very difficult to remove to look at the wiring, Oh well, I have just made 2 up so I will test them before doing the other 5! Oh, and I now dislike mini XLRs almost as much as lemos!! I do notice they make these with just a 2 pole minijack too, wonder how thats wired??
