YoungOne
Hey guys ive got to update our Leapfrog today to version 2.15, but was just wondering if anyone knows, will the fixtures/submasters/groups ect be deleted? If so is there a way of baking all of this up? Thanks, Edd
peter
Hi Edd Yes, you can save your show file to a USB stick. Go into Setup, press Files, Save Show. Select your USB stick, Enter a name, and press ENTER. If you're performing the full OS update, you will require a USB stick which can be formatted, so please be aware that this will wipe any show files from this stick when running the Install Maker on your PC. The files can be copied off of the USB stick onto your PC before you run the Install Maker, if you only have one stick available. We recommend using the Zero 88 branded stick which was supplied with the desk as the upgrade stick, as this is what we test with - USB memory sticks are a bit of a minefield and we've seen some that won't work for no apparant reason! If you have any problems during the upgrade or want to confirm you're doing it right, give us a call at the Zero 88 office - 01633 838088. Hope it all goes well, let us know how you get on. YoungOne
Unfortunatly I dont have access to the Z88 provided memory stick, will this cause problems, and just as a double check, if I save the show, update, then load the show, I won't have lost/upset any of the submasters/fixtures/memories ect will I? Thanks Peter, Edd
peter
Hi Edd Any memory stick *should* work - however if the USB Install Maker doesn't succeede then try a different stick. Reloading your show should work absolutely fine - if you're worried, why not try loading the file into Phantom Frog 2.15 first to check the data loads correctly, although backwards compatability is built into the software. Hope this helps,

johnhuson
Do you know how to alter a state in memory without re recording the cue The manual will be able to answer that for you, available from the Zero 88 website. Make sure you get the right version as there is the original Leapfrog and the new Leapfrog 48/96.
peter
Hi Carwyn Use the Update function - described in the user manual. In summary, make the changes you require, press Update, select the memory you wish to update and press OK. Any problems, give us a shout at the Zero 88 office. CARWYN
Manual is confusing and already gone in the bin after 5 days of having the desk, but I've conquered the update button
Potassium Neuf
Note that there are two ways of using the UPDATE button ... 1. Load the required memory (or submaster) into the Program Window, make the necessary changes to dimmer and/or fixture parameter values, press UPDATE and confirm. This simply updates the item that was originally loaded into the Program Window. 2. With the memory (or submaster) outputting, make the required changes in the Program Window, press the UPDATE button. The Update Options Window will then allow you to select what you wish to update.
