liamjf
Hello, I have aproblem that's been bugging me for a while so if anyone can help I would really appreciate it!On our main 550i I have edited the ATC page D1 to this: [D1]X1 > 16, X21 > 90 This way I just get the MSB only and no shape or speed channels. This way I can fit 10 MAC500s on one screen. On the designers remote (USB drive). I log in as user 5 and have the same line in the ATC page except D5. But! On the Remote 520i console it displays all atributes no matter what. Trying to edit the ATC page from the remote desk just displays the file as you would expect (as you are looking at the 550) but I can't seem to change the display. Any ideas? Cheers, Liam. JMC
You want this; [D1]X1 > 16, X21 > 90 [D2]X1 > 16, X21 > 90 [D1] = Main console display (user 1)[D2] = 2nd Console display (user 2)[D3] = 3rd Console display (user 3) and so on..!

Thanks fella, that works for the designer remote (user 5) but won't work for the REMOTE console as you are just using the control surface; you're still user 1 (Which obviously I have changed!) Liam. strand600X
Just a thought have you tried copying the atcpage.lib from one console to the other?

Are you definately logged in as user 1 on the remote console? Do the key-presses also appear on the main consoles command line as you type? Are you definately logged in as user 1 on the remote console? Do the key-presses also appear on the main consoles command line as you type? Of course! I know that it's a remote!I haven't copied the atcpage.lib file as such, but I have logged on to the remote console as a MAIN desk, altered the atc file and the rebooted as a REMOTE but this makes no difference. If you try and alter the atc file from the remote, you of course only see the atc file on the main console but the remote doesn't seem to pay any attention to it.Anyone else had this problem?! Cheers, Liam. By the way, is that you Baz? If so, we can chat about it next week! :)

gareth
My understanding is that if you're logged into a main console from a remote console then you're effectively User 2 - so the [D2] section should alter what's displayed on the screen at the remote. But I get the impression from what you've written that you're not finding this to be the case, so I don't know ... If I get really bored at some point next week I'll get our remote desk out and try it - but given the rather busy schedule we've got next week I can't see there being time for that to happen :o. I'll try it our myself next week! Cheers, Liam.

Even logged in as a remote console the remote is still User 2 and so changing the [D2] line in the ATC page does the trick. Thanks! Liam.

liamjf
Isn't that what I said? :blink:It is indeed BUT without the vital information that a remote console is automatically user 2. :) Thanks though!Liam.
JMC
Ahah... just assumed you knew! Remote consoles are assigned a user number in the order they log on the main console... So if you had multiple remotes, the user numbers could swap between them depending on switch on order.
