Nicodemos
Topic Title tell's it all: Is there a way to reset Showtech Showmaster 24 back to factory default settings? I'm wroking with a group of students and someone changed record mode code, and forgot it. :P So it's impossible to program anything - it's only possible to use console manualy. I tired to search internet, but didn't find anything useful. Only nearly similar thing was this Showtec Showmaster 48 Manual (.pdf). Even that requires getting into recrod mode, witch is - in my case - impossible.
Swaffer29
This Happened to us also, although we weren't sure if we changed the code or it was different from the one in the manual in the first place. We rang our Showtec rep who gave us a different code Our Manual: Record Enable: Record + 1 5 6 8 Showtec Rep: Record Enable: Record + 1 4 2 3 This worked for us and we were able to get back into program mode, but I'm not sure if its a factory reset or just a different record enable code. And I see both codes are different from the online manual! Hope this helps.
David A
another code is 1668, one should work.
ShaneBryan
Failing any of the above you could open the desk and unplug the battery from the board. The battery is the part attatched to the bottom of the desk on the inside. It'll probably be obvious when you have a look.Leave it for a little bit, a minute or two, to be safe. Then plug back up and the recording mode entry code will be back to the default setting i.e. what it says in the manual.Be aware that you will also lose all of your recorded scenes/steps/chases. Nicodemos
Thanks for all - problem was solved. I tried all the codes and 1668 worked. Afterwards I happend to turn the console around and there it was: same code and instructions... :P Battery was my final way. I think I need to change it anyway: sometimes when desk is shut off over night, scenes don't match up anymore in the next morning. This isn't actually very critical thing to us, 'cause we mostly use this console in simple two-scene-mode manualy. Still, it wouldn't be a bad thing if it would work propably, right? :P
