adrian_swift
Hello :P Okay, I'm not sure which board is appropriate for this thread, but as it primarily concerns lighting, here it is. I play guitar in the Iron Maiden tribute band Hi-on Maiden. We are currently preparing to undertake a recreation of Maiden's 'Somewhere on Tour' tour, and we have a problem in that Bruce Dickinson wore a leather biker jacket with flashing rope light and other effects for the first few songs and as we have no electronic knowledge we have no idea how to make this work. We would appreciate any advice on this subject. We've found 12v, 24v, and 240v rope light as well as various battery packs but we don't know how to wire the thing up and make it flash in the sequence that Bruce's did. Here is a link to a youtube video of said jacket (parental advisory: here there be swearing!): Thank you kindly for any help ;) Best regards, Swifty. Jon T
Having used some of the fixed length 'super bright' pieces a few months back hung off a back truss I can assure you they are pretty punchy, and will show up well on a fairly dark stage. I will try and dig out some pictures when I get a chance. J
